Work and play

While I was toiling away on the PCT, Mom found time to hike down to the lake at Emerald Bay. She said she took this picture looking back up at the mountains that I was riding through. She also reports that the water was a little chilly, but amazingly crystal clear when she went in for a quick dip. (Not that I would know anything about having time for that, of course). But really, I can't blame her much; she was also busy that same morning driving me to the trailhead, then getting propane for the camper and groceries, and afterward she found a laundromat and finally came and picked me up at our ending point. So I guess if she found a minute in there to have fun, I can't really hold it against her!

P.S. -- I also want to give a shout out to Siggie . . . I hear that I'm living your dream, but I don't know if I'd be so sure about that if I were you (just kidding; and thanks for reading my blog!).
