I was lucky enough to find a little shed with an unlocked door at the pack station at Horseshoe Meadows, where I could get out of the weather at night. I'm not sure if this technically counts as breaking and entering (well, I didn't have to "break" anything, just open the door) but I was grateful for the roof and the walls; it was still bitterly could up there (about 10,000 feet) but at least I wasn't out in the snow, and I had plenty of food for both me and the horses in my pack--and even a book to read!
