Our ride today was a longer one--about 29 miles--as we crossed over Muir Pass and down into Evolution Valley north of the pass. Muir is one of the rockier passes in my opinion, and thus not a fun endeavor for the horses.
We passed quite a few small lakes on both sides of the pass, such as this one nestled among the rocks. There were also some occasional patches of snow remaining along the way; the view below is on the approach to the pass from the south.
Once we crossed the pass we headed down into the lusher green spaces of Evolution Valley and camped that night along Senger Creek.
