Mosey on down the trail

looking south on the Colorado trail

Once again, we had a quiet, relaxing day. We gained some elevation in the morning as we climbed up to Sargent's Mess. When we stopped for lunch, Takoda did his absolute best to try to get in the middle of my cooking. I was just trying to boil water so I could rehydrate some refried beans to make a burrito, but he kept trying to pull the lid off of my stove, and thus tipping it over. I had to bribe him with pieces of tortilla to finally get 30 seconds in order to boil the water. Our afternoon was uneventful as we made our way downhill to Lujan Creek where we camped for the night. Overall it was a very easy 21 mile day.
