Making progress

two pretty alpine lakes along the trail

We managed to find another nice meadow to stop at last night, once again going a little ways off the trail to get to it. Camping with horses right on the PCT itself is sometimes a little tricky, as there isn't always room on the narrow trail for horses, and we also always need to be near a source of water. In addition, of course, I like to try to find some grass for the horse if at all possible (and a lot of the time it just isn't available). But when I can find the right combination, then it makes for a great campsite for all of us. I always feel good if I can see the horses enjoying themselves at the end of the day, rolling in the grass and having a chance to graze and relax.
