Heading North

camping at Etna

Today was a road day--a long one, as I left Walker Pass in the morning and eventually arrived at the place where I wanted to camp for the next few days outside of Etna. I had planned to stay in a horse campground, but unfortunately the campground was inexplicably closed when I got there, so I had to settle for a make-shift camp in the trees.

Scott joined me and we set up the highline and tent under the pines. Soon we even had some visitors, as these deer seemed comfortable enough to hang out with us.
