In the morning, Takoda's leg still seemed a little swollen, but he wasn't lame at all, and so we started out walking; as we went along, the activity helped with the swelling, and he was clearly not showing any effects of his entanglement on the highline last night.
We came to a very dramatic bridge over the Feather River which we had to cross, but it was a sturdy and secure structure and the horses weren't bothered at all by the long drop to the water below. We ended up covering 30 miles today and made our camp just a little south of Buck Lake.
